Pet End-of-Life Care: Supporting Annapolis MD Area Families During Their Time of Need

At Bay Country Veterinary Hospital, we understand how special the bond is between the pets we have the privilege of treating and the people who love them. After all, we are pet owners, too, and have experienced that joy ourselves.

Should you be faced with difficult decisions regarding your pet’s medical care, our veterinarians will take the time to carefully review all of the options available. We will discuss not only the clinical aspects of your pet’s condition, but also how it may be impacting his or her quality of life. In addition, we will explore pain management options as needed to ensure that your pet is as comfortable as possible.

We will be there to support you however we can, every step of the way.

Pet Grief Counseling and Pet Memorials

People handle grief in many different ways. The loss of such an important part of your family will take time to process, and little reminders may surface when you least expect them.

In order to assist you through this difficult time, we have some resources that you may find helpful:

  • Pet loss library—This collection features articles written by grief professionals that will likely address many of the questions you may have. It also contains articles and stories from others who have experienced a similar loss.
  • Pet memorials—If you would like to create an online remembrance of your pet, we encourage you to do so here. We would be honored if you shared pictures, videos, and memories of this special member of your family.
